the *point* man (Henry H)

I've been a business traveler for over 12 years. When I first started out, it was all about the points. I've never been a fan of flying, but overlooked the drawbacks in exchange for a virtual currency which gave me the freedom to purchase everything from airline tickets to hotel rooms to car rentals without spending a single dollar. Countless discussions with my fellow road warriors focused on how to best take advantage of the countless point systems woven into our nomadic life on the road - best credit card point system, best deals on double counting points - you name it and we talked about it.

That was then, but these days my priorities have shifted and points don't make up for the sacrifices of our lifestyle. I want More Than Points.  How do I spend more time with family/friends, waste less time waiting for flights in airports, and improve the overall quality of my life?  I want to have my cake and eat it too and points are just the icing, not the cake.

I'd like readers to think of this place as a layover that gets you home faster.
