I created the the More Than Points Personal Travel Assistant (PTA) because I wanted a simple and efficient way to get useful information while on the road.
I use it to do the following:
- check weather
- check flight status
- check travel reports
- search yelp
- retrieve stock quotes and news
- schedule reminders
- take screenshots of websites
- send sms messages
- etc.
While you can certainly do many of these things on an iPhone or Blackberry browser, sometimes I just want to send a quick message and get a response. The PTA is available through a jabber-compatible IM client or through email.
